Check-in from 11:00 am. Departure at 1:00 pm from the Split harbour as we cruise towards Stari Grad on the island of Hvar where records confirm that this is the sunniest Adriatic island. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore this unique town and its famous horseshoe-shaped bay. The famous Stari Grad Field (a plain) is the oldest in Croatia and the best-preserved example of the ancient Greek system of agriculture. Both the old town and this plain are part of the world heritage protected by UNESCO. Overnight in one of the ports of Stari Grad, main or ferry port (2 km away) depending on availability in port.

Day 1: Darwin - Kakadu NP, Australia
Darwin Accommodation Pick-Up – Kakadu National Park
You will be collected from your Darwin accommodation at approximately 6.30 am for your Top End adventure as we travel to the Mary River Wetlands for a cruise. This region is home to over 250 bird species and has the highest concentration of saltwater crocodiles in the Southern Hemisphere. Search for the mighty crocs who rule this waterway, buffalo, birds and other wildlife. We will enter Kakadu National Park from the South Alligator River – the perfect location to enjoy a picturesque picnic lunch. There will be the opportunity to purchase Aboriginal arts and crafts (not included) at the Bowali Visitor Centre before our late afternoon arrival at Ubirr. Here you will view a wide range of ancient Aboriginal art which will be interpreted by your guide. Learn the story of the Rainbow Serpent and climb the Nadab Lookout for panoramic views over the floodplain and beyond into Arnhem Land. As the day draws to a close we head to our private campsite for dinner and our overnight stay.

Day 2: Kakadu NP - Litchfield NP, Australia
This morning the jewels of Kakadu National Park await. After breakfast, you will travel off-road to the majestic Twin and Jim Jim Falls for a day of adventure and exploration. Travelling into Twin Falls by 4WD track, a boat shuttle and finally a rocky track and boardwalk we will be rewarded by the beauty of this remote waterfall deep within Kakadu National Park. Staying off the beaten track you will walk through monsoon forests and over boulders lead us to Jim Jim Falls. Surrounded by 150-metre cliffs, you can spend some time soaking up the natural beauty of this majestic location. This afternoon we depart Kakadu National Park and travel towards Litchfield National Park where we will stop along the way at our private campsite. Tonight, enjoy a meal with your fellow adventurers before getting some rest.
Note: Twin and Jim Falls may not be accessible between the tropical summer months. During this time we will visit Gunlom Falls, Maguk or the Yurmikmik Region (Motor Car Falls or Boulder Creek)
Twin Falls Boat Shuttle Fee ($12.50AUD) is not included and is payable direct on the day of the cruise

Day 3: Litchfield NP - Darwin, Australia
Today is spent exploring the waterfalls, spring-fed streams and rugged sandstone escarpments of Litchfield National Park. Marvel at the intriguing magnetic and cathedral termite mounds and swim, hike and explore Florence and Wangi Falls. Discover the many rock holes and cascading waterfalls of Buley Rockhole before your early evening transfer to Darwin where you will spend the night.
Note: Wangi Falls may not be accessible during the wet season. During this time we will provide an alternative or spend more time in other locations.

Day 4: Darwin - Nitmiluk NP, Australia
You will be collected from your Darwin accommodation at 6:00 to being your adventure through the Alice Springs ‘Territory’. We will drive to the Nitmiluk (Katherine Gorge) National Park which is owned by the Jawoyn Aboriginal people. Ancient sandstone has been carved away by the Katherine River to create a deep and picturesque gorge. You may like to take a boat cruise or paddle a canoe (seasonal) through the peaceful waters (both optional and additional cost). In the afternoon, relax and watch the changing landscape as make way to our nearby campsite.

Day 5: Nitmiluk NP - Banka Banka Station, Australia
Today you will continue your relaxation with a dip in the Mataranka Thermal Pools; a lush oasis fringed by paperbark trees. As you leave Mataranka behind you will make a quick yet important stop at Daly Waters Pub. Daly Waters Pub was an important watering hole for exporters and drovers in the past and now it serves as a great spot to take a break and have a cold beer (not included). Tonight we will be spending the night in the historic Banka Banka Cattle Station.

Day 6: Banka Banka Station - Alice Springs, Australia
Rise early and enjoy the views before hopping onto the minibus as we continue our journey. Just north of Alice Springs, you will be passing by the Tropic of Capricorn-the circle of latitude that indicates that 80% of the Northern Territory lays north of this point! Further along the track, you will view one of Australia’s most famous rocks- the Devils Marbles. Be sure to take photos of these unique red, rounded granite boulders that seem to have been magically placed on top of one another. As the day winds to a close you will be arriving in Alice Springs where you will be spending the night.

Day 7: Alice Springs, Australia
Today you will be free to explore the Red Centre township of Alice Springs. Alice Springs depicts the uniqueness of Aboriginal Australia as in its streets you can hear six different Australian languages! Stroll around and take advantage of all the unique attractions available to travellers including a wide variety of museums and galleries of Indigenous art before purchasing souvenirs and sampling the food in the area (not included). Overnight in Alice Springs.
Day 8: Alice Springs - Uluru, Australia
Hop on your early morning pick-up from Alice Springs and continue your journey to Ayers Rock. Get to know Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and all its attractions! Visit a camel farm where you will discover the workings of the region’s earliest form of transport where you have the option of taking a camel ride (additional cost) before joining your travel group for a guided walk of Uluru. Widen your horizons with a visit to The Cultural Centre where you can learn all about the Tjukurpa culture, traditions and Uluru’s natural environment before you marvel at the ever-changing colours of Uluru at sunset. Discuss your discoveries with your travel group over dinner and enjoy stargazing in the outback. Get a good night’s rest at your campsite to prepare you for tomorrow’s activities. Overnight in Uluru.
Note: Uluru is a sacred site and the Anangu people ask visitors to respect their law and not climb it

Day 9: Uluru - Kings Creek Station, Australia
Mornings are a magical time in the desert so rise and shine and experience a mesmerising Uluru sunrise. Next, you will visit Kata Tjuta, the aboriginal word for “many heads”, where you will have time to explore as many of the dome-shaped rock formations 36 as you can. Following your dome-sighting, you will need to gear up in your hiking boots as we take on the Valley of the Winds to explore the breathtaking wilderness. Recover from your hike and take in the beautiful surroundings during lunch. Then it is time to say goodbye to Uluru – Kata Tjuta National Park and continue your journey onwards to Kings Creek Station. You will be spending the night in a private camp.

Day 10: Kings Creek Station - Alice Springs, Australia
Enjoy your breakfast before entering majestic Watarrka (Kings Canyon) National Park, home of a mighty chasm with sheer red rock faces which soar over 100 metres above lush palm forests. The rim of Kings Canyon is a 6km round trip walk in which you will get to visit the Amphitheatre, Lost City and tranquil Garden of Eden. Enjoy lunch with your travel group before the journey back to Alice Springs where you will be dropped off at your chosen accommodation. Upon arrival your experience has come to an end, we wish you safe travels for the rest of your journey.

Additional Information
Physical Demand
Please note that this region can have very hot temperatures, making some activities a bit more physically demanding. As such, this tour may not be for everyone.
Suggested Packing List
Torch, a wide-brimmed hat, sunscreen, insect repellent, water bottle (1.5 litres), walking shoes/boots, sleeping bag (or can be hired for $50AUD), toiletries, swim wear, towel, camera, comfortable and casual clothing
Age Restriction
Minimum 18 years old, recommended for travellers 18-35.
Accommodation Note
Single passengers will be provided with a single hotel room in Alice Springs and Darwin, however, you will be required to share a tent with another same-sex passenger whilst on safari.
Camping Note
Camping is in swags on days 8-10 on this safari. For guests requiring a tent, there is a $60AUD per person hire fee payable direct on the date of travel. Tents must be requested prior to departure.
Luggage Restrictions
Due to limited space on the vehicle, please restrict luggage to a day pack and one soft overnight bag/backpack (maximum 10kg)
Please note: Travellers during November-April (inclusive): On days 1-3 you will be upgraded to WD Dragonfly Dreaming Wet Season itinerary at no additional charge. This is to take advantage of the areas only accessible via 4WD during this time.
