Transfer from Cancun to Cancun

 

You will be picked up at your accommodation/meeting point for your shuttle transfer to Cancun, where you’ll be dropped off at your next accommodation/meeting point.

Duration: 5 days Riviera Maya: Cancun - Tulum - Coba - Merida

 

This morning depart for Merida, a beautiful city with picturesque colonial buildings. On the way, visit the impressive archaeological site of Tulum, which means ‘Palizada’ or ‘Wall,’ an important Mayan city that offers us a spectacular view of the Caribbean Sea. We continue to the archaeological site of Coba, where, from its main pyramid, which is the highest in the Yucatan Peninsula, we can admire the incredible jungle panorama of the region. Afterwards, we travel to Merida, a city full of history and traditions. Check-in at your accommodation and enjoy the rest of the day at your leisure. Overnight in Merida.

Day Trip to Celestun Natural Reserve

 

After breakfast, departure to Celestún, a Wildlife Refuge. In this Natural Reserve, you will find a wide variety of wetlands, one of the largest mangrove areas in good conservation status in the Gulf of Mexico. It is the ideal place to enjoy and interact with nature. This is the perfect habitat for many species of birds; such as the spectacular pink flamingo, which makes this site one of the nesting and breeding places. Overnight stay in Merida.

Visit to Acanceh and Mayapan

 

After breakfast early in the morning, start your day as we depart from Mérida to Acanceh (in the Mayan language it means “deer bellow”), an archaeological zone that is located in the centre of the town, where you will appreciate a traditional market, a pyramid, a Catholic church and a noble central park of the same town. Continue the journey towards Mayapan (in Mayan it means “the flag of the Maya”), considered the great Mayan capital. You will have lunchtime before visiting one of the unique cenotes of this area, the cenote Pixia. Overnight in Merida.

Day Trip to Yaxcopoil and Uxmal

 

This morning we head to Yaxcopoil, where, among other attractions, you will see the historic architecture of the hacienda. Then, we will visit the impressive archaeological site of Uxmal, a UNESCO World Heritage Site considered to be one of Mayan culture´s most significant sites. We will continue with the visit of the stunning Sambula cenote where you will relax and refresh in the crystal clear water. Return to Merida and enjoy the rest of the day at your own leisure. Overnight in Merida.

Day Trip to Chichen Itza & Transfer to Cancun

 

Today you will visit one of the most popular archaeological sites of the Yucatan Peninsula: Chichen Itza. You will visit and admire its beautiful buildings; the Pyramid of Kukulkan, the Observatory, Temple of the Warriors and the Ball Court; all of these renowned vestiges of the Mayan civilization.

 

Transfer to your accommodation in Cancun.  The rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Cancun.

 

Note: There is an extra cost for drop-off out of the hotel zone of Cancun as well as in Tulum.
