Check-in from 11:00 am. Departure at 1:00 pm from the Split harbour as we cruise towards Stari Grad on the island of Hvar where records confirm that this is the sunniest Adriatic island. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore this unique town and its famous horseshoe-shaped bay. The famous Stari Grad Field (a plain) is the oldest in Croatia and the best-preserved example of the ancient Greek system of agriculture. Both the old town and this plain are part of the world heritage protected by UNESCO. Overnight in one of the ports of Stari Grad, main or ferry port (2 km away) depending on availability in port.

Day 1: Arrive Mestre, Italy
Individual arrival and transfer to the Mestre Hotel. The rest of the evening is at leisure.
Day 2: Mestre - Venice, Italy - Bled, Slovenia
After breakfast, meet with the tour leader at the hotel reception for departure between 9:00 – 9:30 am. We will depart for Venice where you will enjoy some sightseeing in this unique floating city. Enjoy a walking tour with an English-speaking guide before continuing our journey towards Slovenia. Dinner and overnight stay in the Bled area.

Day 3: Bled - Bohinj - Bled, Slovenia
Today, enjoy a relaxing tour of Lake Bled, one of the most popular destinations in Slovenia for its picturesque setting. After the Bled Castle boat ride, you will have some free time on the island. The terrace of the Castle offers wonderful views of the Lake and surrounding Mountains. On a clear day, you can see Slovenia’s highest mountain, Mount Triglav. Our final stop of the day will be Lake Bohinj, one of the best-kept secrets in the area. The entire day will provide an abundance of photo opportunities.

Day 4: Bled - Klagenfurt - Wörth Lake, Austria - Bled, Slovenia
Today, we visit the neighbouring country of Austria. Enjoy amazing views of the Alps, impressive at any time of the year. In the historic county of Carinthia, enjoy a panoramic tour of a popular vacation spot and the 20 km long Lake Wörth. We then continue to the charming Klagenfurt, a University town with the beautiful Lindworm fountain dominating the Old City Square and the Altplatz. After your visit here and before returning to Bled, we will have lunch in the Klagenfurt area.

Day 5: Bled - Postojna - Predjama Castle, Slovenia - Rovinj, Croatia
After breakfast today, we continue our journey towards Croatia, with a stop at the Postojna Caves en route. One of the largest underground cave systems in Europe, Postojna hides wondrous geological creations and is home to the olm. Our next stop is Predjama Castle, a Renaissance Castle built within a cave mouth. It is one of Europe’s most dramatic Castles and tells the 700-year-old story of its predecessors and Postojna. Late this afternoon, we will arrive in the enchanting coastal town of Rovinj where we will stay overnight.

Day 6: Rovinj - Istria - Pula - Rovinj, Croatia
After breakfast, our day will start with sightseeing the most precious jewels of the Istrian Coast. A walk through labyrinths of cobbled streets will lead you through some of the most picturesque streets in Istria revealing the rich history of this stunning peninsula. Departure towards inner Istria for a sample of one of the Istrian tastiest treasures, the truffle. The rest of the day offers a unique sensory experience including Olive Oil tasting rich in green scent and flavour of various sorts of extra virgin olive at one of the most renowned local producers. Afterwards, you visit one of the best-preserved amphitheatres in the world, the jewel of Pula, a 3000 year Old City, the administrative centre of Istria.

Day 7: Rovinj - Opatija - Lake Bajer - Plitviče Lakes, Croatia
Travelling from Croatia’s biggest Peninsula, we drive through Opatija. You will have time at leisure to enjoy this wonderful little town full of magnificent villas and old hotels, once a famous winter resort of the Austrian elite. Take a stroll through the Lungomare promenade, visit Angiolina Park, or simply enjoy a coffee break at Wagner’s terrace. After we pass Gorski Kotar Region we arrive at a picturesque little place Fuzine to explore the Vrelo Cave. With everlasting impressions from the green lungs of Croatia, the lunch that is awaiting us at the heartwarming restaurant Bitoraj will be the blend of the traditional, homemade food of the region. Through the lush green scenery, the trip continues to the water empire of Plitviče Lakes. Overnight stay in the Plitviče area.

Day 8: Plitviče Lakes - Split, Croatia
After breakfast, let yourself be carried away by the fascinating labyrinth of evergreen woods and lakes interconnected with stunning waterfalls. The UNESCO Protected oldest Croatian National Park proudly carries the title of one of the world’s most impressive National Parks. Our journey continues towards Split for a short evening walk through the UNESCO World Heritage Site, the largest city on the Adriatic Coast. On our walking tour, we explore Diocletian’s Palace, built by the Roman Emperor Diocletian at the turn of the 4th Century and see the Grgur Ninski Statue and will see the Cathedral and Bell Tower of St. Domnius.

Day 9: Depart Split, Croatia

After breakfast, it is time to say goodbye. Transfer to Split Airport for your departure flight or ask us about adding a Croatian cruise to your trip.
