San Vino, aka La Batalla de Vino de Haro, aka the Wine Fight of Spain, takes place on the 29th of June every year, in the town of Haro, La Rioja. The fight goes down amongst some of the world’s best red wine vines, where for centuries now locals and visitors have celebrated this tradition by throwing wine on each other. Visit Haro and La Rioja for the Spanish Wine Fight, and is San Vino’s boutique camping option, with a deluxe teepee and camping options, completely open bar, local wine and cheese tasting on your arrival, and more fun as you will be staying with like-minded travellers from all over the world.

Check-in from 11:00 am. Departure at 1:00 pm from the Split harbour as we cruise towards Stari Grad on the island of Hvar where records confirm that this is the sunniest Adriatic island. Enjoy a free afternoon to explore this unique town and its famous horseshoe-shaped bay. The famous Stari Grad Field (a plain) is the oldest in Croatia and the best-preserved example of the ancient Greek system of agriculture. Both the old town and this plain are part of the world heritage protected by UNESCO. Overnight in one of the ports of Stari Grad, main or ferry port (2 km away) depending on availability in port.

Day 1: Barcelona - La Rioja, Spain
From 11 am, arrive at the San Vino campsite for check-in. Between 8 pm and 10 pm, enjoy local cheese and wine tasting with Swallow Don’t Spit Wine Tours. At night, the party starts in town. Take a five-minute stroll into the village for a bar crawl, listen to live music, dance with the entire town and really immerse yourself in Spanish fiesta culture.
Day 2: La Rioja, Spain
From 10 am to noon bottomless mimosas and brunch is served at the campsite. Today, chill by the pool, explore the village, visit some of the world’s best wineries, eat in one of the many restaurants, or drink in the bar – including those at the campsite itself. From 8:30 pm the Foreplay Party kicks off, and then we go into town to party with the locals (they go all night). Meals: B
Day 3: La Rioja, Spain
Haro Wine Fight and Campsite Afterparty Enjoy a breakfast of champions at the campsite before the start of the enormous Haro Wine Fight. After the epic wine batter, chill out, get showered and de-purple yourself. Once you’ve rested, eaten, and recovered get ready for the massive campsite party and onwards to the town centre to continue the festivities. Meals: B
Day 4: La Rioja, Spain
Enjoy a tasty hot breakfast and bottomless mimosas before exploring the vineyards and winemakers of Haro, or the local La Rioja countryside. Meals: B
Day 5: La Rioja - Barcelona, Spain
Campsite Breakfast, Check Out Between 10 am and noon, bottomless brunch is served. Afterwards, check out of the campsite or keep the adventures going with the San Sebastian Surf Camp or a Barcelona City Break. Safe travels onward! Meals: B
