This Route is a cyclists dream as the Alsace Region has the longest cycling paths in all of France. You will get the chance to bike through several small towns where time seems to have stood still since the Middle ages. The well preserved town walls and gates, the picturesque half timbered houses, the impressive Roman and Gothic Churches testify to an eventful past. Of course, the main focus is on wine; Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir, Gewürztraminer and Silvaner. However, there is more than wine to enjoy on this bike tour in France. The idyllic landscape is dominated and protected by the mountain range of the Vosges, on whose mountain tops sit Castles and ruins. The starting point of this romantic Alsace cycling route is the European city of Strasbourg.

Tour Profile
Level 2: In the Alsace you cycle mainly on cycle paths in slightly hilly terrain, sometimes with quite demanding sections. For this reason we offer two different routes for each stage to ensure that also less skilled cyclists can cope with the routes. Each day you can decide which level of difficulty suits you.
