Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1 Casablanca — Welcome

Arrive in Casablanca and settle in. Your tour leader will host a welcome meeting at 6:00pm to run through the adventure ahead. The rest of the day is free to explore at your own pace — stroll the corniche or wander the Art Deco city centre.

Meals: None included

Optional morning visit to the breathtaking Hassan II Mosque (one of the world's largest). Take a local train to Meknes, then transfer to the sacred hilltop town of Moulay Idriss. Spend the night with a local Moroccan family for a genuine homestay experience, complete with a traditional mint tea demonstration.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Guided tour of Volubilis — Morocco's best-preserved Roman ruins, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with extraordinary mosaics and marble columns. Then transfer north to the magical blue city of Chefchaouen, draped across the slopes of the Rif Mountains.

Meals: Breakfast

A full free day in Chefchaouen to explore the labyrinthine blue-and-white medina at your own pace. Optional activities include the Akchour Waterfalls hike, hammam, henna tattoos, or simply getting lost in the photogenic alleyways and rooftop cafes.

Meals: Breakfast

Five-hour scenic drive south to Fes, Morocco's oldest imperial city and spiritual capital. Arrive in the early afternoon with free time to start your exploration of the ancient medina — the largest car-free urban area in the world.

Meals: Breakfast

Guided morning walking tour of the Fes el-Bali medina with a local expert. Visit the famous Chouara leather tanneries, the exquisite Medersa Bou Inania (14th-century theological college), and a traditional ceramic factory. Free afternoon to explore the souks and alleyways at your own pace.

Meals: Breakfast

A big travel day (~10 hours) through dramatic desert landscapes to reach Merzouga on the edge of the Sahara. As the sun drops, mount your camel for a sunset ride into the towering Erg Chebbi dunes. Spend the night under a sky packed with stars at a traditional desert camp.

Meals: Breakfast, Dinner

Wake before dawn to watch the sunrise over the sand dunes. Travel west through the lush Ziz Valley and the dramatic Todra Gorge — 300m-high cliff walls carved by the river. Optional gorge hike for those keen to stretch their legs. Overnight in the beautiful Dades Valley.

Meals: Breakfast

Drive the legendary Road of 1000 Kasbahs through the Draa Valley (~7 hours), stopping at the Tawesna teahouse — a women's cooperative supporting female economic empowerment. Arrive at the iconic Ait Benhaddou, a UNESCO-listed medieval mud-brick fortress town that served as a backdrop for Gladiator, Game of Thrones and The Mummy. Climb the fortress for panoramic views over the valley.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

Cross the dramatic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260m elevation (~6 hours), with breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks and Berber villages clinging to the hillsides. Descend to the rose-red city of Marrakech. Evening free to explore the electrifying Djemaa el-Fna Square — acrobats, snake charmers and the world's greatest open-air kitchen.

Meals: Breakfast

Guided morning walking tour of Marrakech's souks and medina with a local expert. Explore the Bahia Palace, the Mellah (Jewish quarter), spice markets and artisan workshops. Then dive into a street food tasting experience — barbecued meats, fresh salads, mint tea and couscous at Djemaa el-Fna. Free afternoon for shopping or optional activities.

Meals: Breakfast, Lunch

No activities are planned for the final morning — depart at your leisure. Optional: join a Moroccan cooking masterclass to take a little piece of Morocco home with you.
